A positive resolution in the Emirates

There is a perceived thinking among investors that there is no justice to be gained in the Emirates and seeking redress through the legal systems is expensive and often fruitless.

In many respects this has historically been a common theme as developers have almost acted with impunity when challenged by disgruntled investors looking to secure refunds or address completion issues for long overdue properties.

Our recent experiences have seen a change in attitude from the responsible developers who are attempting to find workable solutions with clients without the need for expensive litigation; obviously where negotiated positions cannot be agreed the tribunals and courts across the Emirates are upholding investor’s complaints and providing financial reimbursements.

A recent example of this change were a couple who had contacted Judicare to look at their situation in Dubai and after some initial investigations into their circumstances were conducted and a chosen legal path determined, Judicare were able to resolve all disputed points with the developer extra judicially.

Thus seeing them take delivery of their completed apartment following a successfully negotiated settlement via Judicare’s legal team in Dubai.
